help with id and poss gender please

New member Julian here...If poss, given these attached pics, could anyone help with id and gender please? Btw, they were phot'd in n. Greece.

Hi Julian, and welcome to the Forum!

I'm afraid I'm not going to be much use to you because the tail looks like a small, female tail, but I get the impression he's male! Cute baby in the last picture.

No, I'm not good at I.D.ing the Mediterranean species...but when I first looked at the first picture "Hermann" popped into my head.

I am thinking it looks like a Greek tortoise, and I would bet it is a female: flat bottom of shell, small tale.
