Im currently using coco coir as substrate for my two young Indian Star tortoises. I was wondering if that was the best thing to use or cypress mulch? And also I've never found any info on what the temp should be in their humid hide. Can anybody answer that? Thanks :) ImageUploadedByTortForum1375801192.893800.jpgImageUploadedByTortForum1375801216.829917.jpg

I think as a general rule, you should not let the temps go to far below 80F in a humid environment. I don't have any experience with that species however I would assume you need to keep it 80+. Cold and Humid = sick Warm and Humid = healthy

I recognize those two. Your enclosure looks fine, by the way.

I know that Neal, KenS, and Skottip all have extensive experience with raising stars. Perhaps a PM is in order?
