Help with line down the Sulcata’s carapace!

Recently theres a growth where there’s a middle line going down the shell right in the middle. The very front scute the line is slightly raised and white. Kinda like that white line made on your finger when the door accidentially closed between your skin.
Is this normal, is the shell too dry? In this picture I just misted it.

That's his spine. A tortoise's spine is fused to the inside of the carapace.

Everything looks normal. Possibly slight pyramiding hard too tell. Do you have him housed in a closed chamber with 80% humidity? About the only way to keep pyramiding away.

That is a dorsal keel. Many turtles have very pronounced keels running down the back of the shell. Some tortoises have remnants of this keel but as in sulcatas, it is not very noticeable, but in young sulcatas, you normally can see it. As they grow it will totally disappear. Absolutely normal.
