Northern type red-footed tortoise.
Anomalies to the dorsal scutes. Otherwise, just fine.

Rescued her, a family had her before and rescued jer from a friend that didnt take care of her. So shell is off.

The scute pattern has nothing to do with how she's been cared for. She was born that way. However, the dryness of the skin and shell has everything to do with how she's been cared for. Be sure to set this gal up in a warm, humid space and soak her a lot. Lovely-looking tortoise. I'm partial to those with aberrant scutes.

The elongated nasal patterns are up above a smaller triangular-shaped nasal pattern. On a YF, you won't see that little triangular shaped pattern. The elongated patterns go right down to the nares.

I personally think that unusual scute patterns are great.
Especially if you find yourself with several similar looking tortoises.
He or she doesn't look bad at all.
The pyramiding is not several and the animal still has many decades left to enjoy life.
Rescues can be very rewarding.
