How big do Hermann's Tortoises grow (length and width) and what age can they live outside in the UK?
egyptiandan said:Never seen much in the way of width measurements for Hermanns, but males usually average 5 to 8 inches and females 7 to 10 inches. They can though sometimes get to 13 inches. You can put outside in the UK any size Hermanns tortoise in the spring, summer and fall. Just make sure the daytime temperatures are 20C or above. You can leave them out at night when temperatures stay at 15C or above. Also make sure the enclosure they are in is covered.
