My tortoise is getting ready for brumation. She has had nothing to eat since the 1st of November and she is having daily soaks. The problem is she keeps eating her orchid bark!! Can I still put her in the fridge if she has been eating bark? She is at least 12 years old but how much older I dont know as she is a rescue. Any advice is appreciated :)

I wouldn't. Is this a tortoise that is fed mostly grocery store greens?

If this were my tortoise I would take it off any substrate and have nothing in its enclosure that it might eat, and don't allow it to hibernate until all the bark has been pooped out.
