Hi everyone, new Sulcata hatchling owner from Malaysia here. Got a quick question does uvb get through on a very cloudy day? (I put my tortoise out to bask and graze during the mornings and evenings)

Yes, UVB passes through cloud.

You can get sun burn on a cloudy day... I tested this as a teenager by lying on a rug reading all afternoon without sunscreen and getting the worst sunburn ever!

Clouds aren’t solid like glass, perspex and plexiglass. UVB doesn’t pass through glass

IC thks for the feedback guys. So i guys i fun have to worry about overheat as much on a cloudy day and still get the necessary uvb.
