Holes between plurals on Herman’s tortoise

Have recently started the wind down period to hibernate and am wondering weather to continue or not hibernate? She suffers from some pyramiding so maybe linked to that, not sure if these have always been here or something medical that needs addressing.

I doubt it's anything to worry about. Could be that your light is too close?????

It almost looks like a fork like object punctured it. Could he have done this moving under objects such as rocks?
