there are many ways to cook for them. My one dog is allergic to beef and chicken so i use Ground turkey bc it's easy to find. Lamb is more expensive and Pork makes me think it could be fatty, which i would not want for my UTI dog. That is why i liked that book. it gives a basic guideline and recipes. you can change them to suite your needs.

I agree about the pork. That' why I don' use it. My dog with gastro issues doesn't need the extra fat! He does ok with lean ground beef if I drain the fat off though. I' going to look for that book on amazon. Years ago I had gotten the one by Pitcairn (sp?) Out of the library and that was a good one
