He is such a beautiful tort in every aspect. Even if he needs special care, he is worth every penny and time. Wish him long happy life.

i am glad i see hopie eating again

* Thank you!

i read your the whole blogg , against all odds he hatched ( a miracle on his own ) and made it so for . Hopie is a fighter and recovered the first time after he got the feeding tube and with that the necessary nutrients he needed to gain back his strength. I believe in him and his power to survive. He will recover again.
I cheer for HOPIE
he could not be born in do a better home than yours Greg. You give him the changes to live ... :)

Does Dr. Mader feel the narrowing of the spinal cord was what caused Hopi to stop passing food and urine?

Do you supplement calcium?

I have an Aldabran that has trouble getting up on his back legs, and he drags himself around. His problem is calcium deficiency.

It's never fun to have a tortoise that you have to "doctor," and give special attention to health-wise. I hope your patience and loving care will pull him through.

* He thinks that the spinal cord issue is directly causing all of his current issues. Basically he has no control of his bladder, bowel movements, and some rear leg movement issues.

Do you supplement calcium?

* We do not!

His problem is calcium deficiency.

* All test came back within normal ranges!

I hope your patience and loving care will pull him through.

* Our biggest concern is his lack of appetite and unwillingness to drink!
