These are three holdbacks. The two smaller ones, one and one half years old, are part of the 1.34% of the overall aldabra tortoise population that have no nuchal scute. We have hatched only three out of all our hatchlings. All three were in the same clutch. Notice the growth/size difference between the two, we are thinking male and female based on size differences and other behavior characteristics.
