So what is the preference of folks pancakes in regard to the orientation of their hides? Seems to me in the real world a more vertical orientation would be most available but maybe horizontal would be utilized if available. What be your experience?experience?

I've always understood the kopje habitats to be mostly horizontally oriented. I'm willing to be educated otherwise.

In my mind, I see the kopjies more vertical than horizontal. Like Joshua tree outcrops compared to a shale type environment.

my tort has occasionally wedged himself into a vertical position, sometimes by accident. But I like to keep the hides horizontal, because I know he can get out of those easily
