@Tom, in your experience, how big does a Russian female have to be before she starts laying eggs?
Thanks Tom. In early spring I'm going to let my male and my newly acquired, rescue female have some monitored "quality time together" and see what happens. By then my female "Honey" will be out of quarantine. She's doing really well btw. I will be increasing the size of my outdoor pen so both can live in the same enclosure. There will be a partition down the center of the enclosure with a door or a removable portion so I can let them mingle, for breeding but then separate them easily.I've seen it as small as 6", but it could happen at a smaller size in theory.
