How often and how long to soak tortoises?

I bath my tortoise in about 1 inch of water everyday for only 5 minutes. Is this too much or too little?

How old is your tort?
A hatchling should be every day for 20-30 minutes.
An adult about once or twice a month for 20-30 minutes. If you never see them drink I would do it more often, around once a week for 20-30 minutes.

At two I think you can do a couple times a week. He's still young but not a hatchling and yet not an adult.

There isn't really a "right" or "wrong" answer here. Its really personal preference. 5 minutes every day will probably do the job, but for a two year old russian, I would rather soak 2 or 3 times a week for 20-30 minutes at a time.
