Hi , I want to confirm something about How to take care an Indian Star..
here's what I've learn so far:
Indian star needs :

-Humidity at least : 75%-85%
-Basking point : 95 F
-Cool heat end : 75 F
-Lighting : Sunlight for 12 Hours if the weather are not good try use UVB bulb, use Heater bulb around 40-60 watt for babies about 20 cm -30 cm / 8'-12' at night we could use ceramic heater / night bulb heater (same height)
-The Enclosure need to have : a Hide for feeling safe , a Water dish terra cotta plant saucer is the best option from my opinion , a plant inside to cover from light (still consider for real plant or artifitial plant) , a Food dish could be a tile or terra cotta plant saucer
-Substrate : Coconut Coir because it could hold moist better
-Food Diet : High Calcium and Fiber (or put Cuttlebone) , Fruits okay but seldom
-Feed : twice a day if your Indian Star did not graze in the grass field
-Soaking : Everyday with warm water and spray the shell with warm water
-Exercise : let him free walking around in an open field

so that's what i learn until now, could anybody please tell me what goes wrong with what i learn? or maybe you could add something that missing and please help me correct it if I'm wrong.

This would probably help any other newbie who raise an Indian Star just like me :D

Many people believe that care for star tortoise is similar to leopard one, and here is the link to the care,

As for outside link, can find many articles here,

For your care, I just have comment on the heater. It's not decided by a specific distance like 20 - 30 cm as you mention, but you need to measure the temperature using thermometer. For night time, better use ceramic heater and not night bulb heater (infra red heater). It is said that tortoise can still see the red light spectrum from infra red light.
