Good day,

I have an injured/sick baby tortoise [1] and one of the things that was raised as a possibility to his condition was ant bite. Assuming it is ant bite, how do you treat an ant bite on a tortoise? - especially on a baby that's just 42g and 5.2cm long?

I did a little research on how to treat ant bites and I saw an article which listed possible treatments to ant bites for human. From the list, I saw aloe vera which I know was safe for tortoises (or at least if fed in moderation). If so, do you guys think it's a good idea to apply aloe vera extract to my hatchling? If yes how? - through a cotton bud tip? by mixing the extract in bath water?

Or is there a better way on treating ant bites for tortoises?

Thanks,
Franz
