I stumbled upon this forum a few times in my research on turtles. We found an eastern box turtle while out walking in our back yard with the dogs last weekend. I picked her up so the dogs wouldn't try to play with her. She hung out in a raised garden bed before the dogs lost interest and she was good to head back to where she came from without worry from our crew.
But I'd still like a box turtle. Still researching what ones and where to find them and the legality of them here in southern Alabama (looks like i can have 1). And still trying to figure out how I want to do an outdoor garden that will work for a box turtle when I do happen to find one.
My family includes my husband, 3 dogs (greyhound, doberman, great dane) and 5 ducks (4 runners and a welch harlequin)
