Waiting for Hurricane Matthew...
This is what my house looks like now. Plants that include bonsai, succulents and other weird forms are everywhere!
Even outdoor furniture, bird feeders and bird baths are inside.

Lets hope my new hurricane/impact windows hold up!

I'm surprised your wife allowed all those pots indoors without saucers or some sort of protection for the table and carpet. You have a collection of plants to die for! Love it! But hurricanes? No thank you.

Will be thinking of you and your wife tonight Carl. Thinking of Allegra too and her family. Good luck, and stay safe. Those Bonsai.....just wow!

We have Terrazzo floors...impervious to most anything. I mop up after the storm and we're good. The little rugs are just throw rugs.

Good luck. I've been through a few of these things when I was in Guam. It's cool to say talk about the experiences, but I sure as hell don't want to ever do it again.

Just snapped these...winds are up to about 25 mph with some rain squalls, but nothing drastic.
This is my front yard with my car tucked way up into the carport. We parked my wife's car right up behind mine.

All nine of my adult cherry-heads are surprisingly calm in their storage bins. If the conditions on my porch get anywhere near being bad I'll pull them into the main house.
BTW, we are less than a mile from the ocean, as the crow flies.

Keep thinking about all of you guys and sending positive vibes. Thinking about all the clean up afterwards, too.
