This morning while changing the water in my Redfoots pools I noticed a small hole.
On further inspection I found broken clean egg shells.
Months ago I stopped excavating eggs. Maybe some are hatching naturally?
    It would seem so....

When you mow your yard, do it slow. You may find a “Wild”. I usually get one or two a year. A few years ago I rototilled my pen. I didn’t realize how many nests I missed.

Sorry Ed. It's funny. There's more chance of hell freezing over than there is you stopping hatchlings coming your way. Well at least for a while anyway.
Did you find homes for all your males?

    Yes.
Member @StacieJ and her family ended up with both males...and a female.

Oh my gosh! That would be as bad as upturning a rabbit nest with babies in it!

I found 3 hatchlings one year. One outside of the pen. Since part of my adult's enclosure is indoors, I have plans to make a nesting site with an HME/thermostat above to see if I can coax the females into laying in this particular spot.

    My pen is enclosed.
The babies, if they ARE there, should remain in that 360 s.f. area.

No. My property and my enclosure are on higher ground than the neighborhood.
    Only the streets flooded.
In fact, my wifes car was left on the street for a day and the water wiped out the ABS sensors on her car. $340 x 4 from Toyota. $22 each from Ebay!

My kids found two this past weekend. It is always fun finding the feral ones. Keep an eye out with all this rain, someone should pop up soon.

I'm kinda worried about the soil. It gets pretty hard packed. Yours DO hatch out? That's promising.
