im very worried about my baby tortoise, he's been sitting in the corner of his pin and never really moves and His shell has gone soft on the sides should I take him to a vet?

This is an indication that something is wrong with the way you have him set up and the way you are caring for him. Be sure to re-read the care sheets shown at the top of the appropriate to your species section and make any changes necessary in the way you care for him. In the meantime, set him in some warm water and leave him soaking there for about a half hour. Not too deep. He shouldn't have to struggle to keep his head up.

I see you posted back in July about bedding, Did you read those care sheets and set him up in a good enclosure? Tell us about lighting, heating, and the torts diet. Like Gillian asked, Posting pictures would also be very helpful.

a softening shell on a tortoise is usually an indication of diet or lighting oftentimes both, please describe for both of those in detail.
