please could you tell me what my tortoises are kind regards to you, I'm in England so desperate to find out a year on they have grown fast excited to find out.

oh wow there is so many I've enjoyed reading up on them all there is so may different ones I've tried to compare plastrons to tell which one is Genghis and Eunice but am very confused:confused: I thought maybe mine are Asia torts, they are the largest ones can you tell which one exactly are mine I'm so confused, I cant find my other thread I log in via my emails bit confusing I may get there in the end. thank you so much for Hermannihaven site it is a lovely site regards and thank you
P.S my torts have 5 front claws also gold scales/skin on their legs two warts on back of the thighs Can my torts live together as on one of the Herman's species I read they like to maybe live together they enjoy each other but Genghis is stated mounting Eunice now they are only just a year, is this worrying.?

Mounting is a sign of dominance, and they need to be separated immediately. Tortoises do not enjoy friends, and are solitary animals. Also, “cuddling” and “following” are tortoises trying to push/chase the other out of its territory. Even female dogs mount to assert dominance.

They look like greeks to me. Have you found out exactly what they are yet?

This thread should be moved back to the Greek tortoise forum as we already determined that these are Testudo graeca nabeulensis and not any Hermann’s tortoise. [emoji18]
