So this is usually how I keep the heat and moisture in my baby's enclosure and it does work fairly well, but my parents hate the look and are constantly complaining about it.

Can someone please give me ideas on how to make this look nicer while also getting the job done because I am more concerned about my lil tort getting warm rather than looks but I still live with my parents so gotta make them happy too.

The tank is
18" w
37" L

I'm also waiting on lamps stands to be built for the baby

You could build a canopy on top to hold the lights and all. Sort of like a fish tank canopy.

You might also look into building or buying a closed chamber.

I use this stuff to make lids . Looks very similar but it's insulation, so its made to trap heat and it holds humidity well.

I also second building a closed chamber would be the way to go.

You can measure and cut some plexiglass to fit around that light fixture and cover the top.
You can make part of it flip up with a hinge made a duct tape.
