We rescued Vicky from the County shelter here in southern California on mid December. She had some obvious injuries ( possibly deformities) that resulted in amputation of her left front limb. She also has these dark spots on her plastron that are kind of pitted and look flaky. The vet gave some silver sulfadiazine but there hasn't been much improvement. The spots haven't gotten any better or worse after 5 weeks of daily treatment (diluted betadine wash, silver sulfadiazine cream).
I'm curious if anyone has experienced something like this and has any recommendations.
Temps are good in her enclosure and hide. She soaks herself regularly but humidity is difficult to maintain at adequate levels in her current set up.
