So I went to a reptile show yesterday and saw tons of Sulcatas (other species too but more sullys than anything else) and noticed that nearly all of them had at least some level of pyramiding. Some of the larger ones (3"+) were already very pyramided. I actually probably would of bought one had I found a nice smooth one but I just couldnt justify spending money on one thats not perfect so I guess im a snob. If I end up ever buying one, im gonna spend the extra money and have one shipped from one of our breeders here on TFO. I wasnt even intending on buying anything but you know how it is, you show up and start looking around and the next thing you know youre asking where the ATM is.

So there you have it, im a snob.

Sounds like getting a hatchling and trying to raise it smooth is your best option. You can easily get a sulcata hatchling online for under $100 shipped.
