Hello all!

I have had my tortoise for about 4 years now.

Here are some pictures of the enclosure I built for him. I have been thinking of blacking out the bottom part of the plexiglass window since I know they don't do well with transparency.

I have been feeding him from my Hibiscus plant (pictured) and dandelion greens. His enclosure gets direct sunlight in the morning and is shaded the rest of the day.

I would love to know if anyone can identify the species and sex of my tortoise. Any tips or things I should be doing better are welcome.

Here are top and bottom pictures.

I think it looks like a Hermann’s but I am no expert at all so wait for someone else to confirm.
I’m also thinking male.... again wait for the experts.

Species is 100% Greek Tortoise (Testudo graeca) and as for subspecies it appears to be a mix.
It’s a male.
