Welcome to the forum!

How about a picture for us? Baby tortoises are sort of folded inside the egg, not quite in half, but pretty bunched up. It takes a while for their shells to straighten out, and sometimes up to a year for the shells to become very firm.

When you've got your "write your reply" window open, look towards the lower right part of the screen and click on "upload a file." From there you pick a picture from your computer and follow the directions. I don't have a cell phone, so I can't tell you how if that's what you're using.

Uaing your mobile you follow the exact same process and Yvonne just described me my phone gives me the option to either take a picture or upload an existing picture that's already been taken.

Welcome to Tortoise Forum.
As you yourself say, it is probably completely normal, but it's impossible for the guys here to know for sure without a picture or two.
Keep trying to post a pic and someone should be here to help.
