Hello,
I joined here to basically get some helpful info, as I've been suddenly elected into the position of the primary care-giver of my niece's pet Greek Tortoise, Alex (Alexander the Greek). She's moving out of the house soon, into an apartment with her boyfriend, and won't be able to take care of him anymore ( the Tortoise, not the boyfriend.).

We live just north of Valley Forge, PA., and I was looking online for ideas on how/what to build for an outdoor tortoise habitat for Alex this summer, as she's kept him cooped-up in her room since she got him last year. The photos I found are great, and I was impressed with user's Kameya's photo's of theirs.

So I thought I'd join the forum to get some ideas and advice on taking care of Greek Tortoise.

They dig a lot, don't they?

Welcome to the Forum!

Usually, if you provide a good hiding place, the tortoise won't have the necessity of digging one for himself.

Oh my, isn't he a handsome fellow! And look at the lower front legs. Looks like your worry about digging is spot on!!
