This is kind of a big deal for me. This is the first time I've tried the babcocki subspecies in a long time. I gave up on them many years ago because every time I tried to raise one it pyramided horribly. I'm pretty sure those days are behind me now and these little beauties should help me prove it.

This is Peanut, Butter and Jelly.:D They are out of Cory's leopard herd and they hatched around a week ago. All of them were 21 grams at hatching and now they are already up to 26, 27 and 28. Woo hoo! I'm raising them the wet way and expect them to grow up nice and smooth. They saw the sun for the very first time today. I got about three hours of warm sunshine on them before coming back in for a soak and some warm, humid air.

There is just something so perfect and precious about brand new hatchlings...

They look great, Tom! Just wondering: Why P, B and J instead of B, L and T?

I LOVE PB&J. I'm not much of a fan of the L or T, in the BLT.

Ok, Tom...
in about a year, I want you to re-answer the question-
"Which is better G.p.p or G.p.b?"
I think you will have a more creditable response either way. :D

Don't worry. Even if they turn out to be TYPICAL bacockians, completely devoid of ANY personality, I will still love and care for them, just the same.

Thanks John. All the pics were taken within 5 minutes of each other and posted the same day I took them.

I recommend this care sheet: How to Raise Sulcata Hatchlings

Funny Rob. Thanks.

In my opinion both subspecies need humidity as babies. All sorts of people are doing the humidity thing with both subspecies now. In particular, Neal has been keeping his brand new beautiful babcocki hatchlings with humidity and they are looking fantastic.

Have you ever tried mixing the PB&J before you put it on the bread? Try it, it's amazing, way better than just a plain PB&J.

Welcome back to club babcock. I hope they have the typical P.B. outgoing personalities for you.

I certainly will. Although, to be fair, I think I should give them more than a year. Although I don't know why these three would give my answer any more credibility than all the previous ones. I already know the babcocki way better than the Gpp. I've seen lots of Gpp over the years, but my current ones are the first that I have ever kept and raised. I've been messin' with the babcocki sine the early 90's.

Thanks to all for the compliments and support!!! :)

Never tried that, but that's how I do my PB and syrup sandwiches. mmmmm...

BTW, Neal. I've been a member of club babcock since about 1992. But thanks, just the same.

They look great. Really light colors. Wonder if they'll darken up in the sun or continue to be lighter.
