Introducing Robin officially after a cage makeover thanks to this site

Hi everyone. Came to this forum with some issues with my lil man Robin and found I was basically doing everything wrong. I've put lost of it right but still learning. Wanted to introduce my Robin properly. He has a large underbite and bumpy she'll which I am aware of. His a happy chappy.

Yes that's his current set up. And his always been happy he knew know better like me but should now be even happier

Looks like you've still got some pellet bedding in there--I would definitely remove that and replace it with something like cypress mulch or coco coir (or a combination).

Aside from that, nicely done!

I will change the whole bedding soon I just don't want to big a change yet so most of it is the correct bedding and enough to keep him moist. Really surprised that it's so bad for them as I when went to the reptile shop for the stuff all there tortoises were on the pellets.

Yeah... Unfortunately most pet stores are more concerned with what's cheap than with what's best for the animals. It's really sad.

So glad the forum was able to help you and you were willing to change things up for him. I'm sure it's probably in there, just can't see it, but be sure there is a low sided water dish available 24/7 for him to get into and soak if he wants or just to drink. He does have a very happy face.

Thanks yeah he has a dish in there with water changed daily? He loves sitting in it lol.
