I see a flat plastron and a short tail that doesn't reach the hind leg. Definitely, you've got a female. Here is my female's tail. IMG_1299.JPG

The animal is too small. Impossible to tell. Everyone here is guessing. Take it from someone whose raised over thirty of these beasts. They are the single most difficult Mediterranean tortoise to reliably sex. Perhaps I'm cursed, perhaps it's the nature of the species, but I've found most of the animals I've raised to be male. You see a lot of mature or late juvenile (pubescent, for lack of a better term) males for sale, rarely do you see a female. Now sure, folks horde females of any species really, but I've raised a lot of them, and I've heard others speak of their relative rareness, regardless of what temp sexing efforts may claim to yield. But I digress. Definitely too early to tell, wouldn't be surprised if that tail is popping out eggs in ten years, also wouldn't be surprised if it was mixing the tools to fertilize them either.
