So tank was sleeping in his humid hide tonight which is normally ok. Tonight it was a little colder then usuall with our AC on. I had forgot to close my room door to keep heat in. So I had a feeling he was cold so I picked him up out of it an put him at his warm hide. Is in the 70s ok for a tortoise at night? Because that's what it was at in his cold hide 74. Warm hide 84.

Random question some time he does a little squeak if I scare him by mistake or bump him. That little squeak just means he was scared right nothin more?

I think 70s is too cool for a humid hide for a leopard. I don't like it below 80. You shouldn't be hearing squeaks either. That might be your only early warning sign.

Ya I figured that's why I moved him. It's not so much a squeak it's like when I scare him he sucks his head in and makes a little noise.

Air rushing out is one thing, but a squeak is another. I think you have a pretty good idea what to watch for.

In post #1 he said 74 for the cool hide and 84 for the warm hide.

Only for last night. Because I left my AC on by mistake. Regular temps are. 95 to 100 basking. Humid hide os right beside it at 84 to 88. Warm/ cool side 82 to 88. Inside his warm hide 84
