Hi, i got this sulcata for cheap from an auction, then i realized that it's plastron is bloating (at first, but it's not bloating right now), and it can't retract the hind legs fully inside the shell... It's eating well and moving around just fine...
So is it just fat? Or it's sick?

This tortoise has edema. There are a multitude of possible reasons. I find that the habit of mixing species that frequently happens in your part of the world often results in "mystery" ailments and tortoise deaths.

What you can do is offer the tortoise the best of care and hope it pulls through.

Thanks for your reply, we rush to a vet (although not a herp vet, we couldn't find one in my town) right away, she said that Pota (it got a name now ^^) is indeed has edema...
But she said Pota is fine nevertheless, it just need some calcium suplement periodically...
I did my best to adjust it's enclosure to what's listed in the page you mentioned...
What do you think, is it some kind of congenital disease? Or do you think Pota will be fine in awhile after I changed the environment?

No way to know how it will turn out. They are usually pretty strong little animals if cared for correctly. Keep it warm all the time and well hydrated, and wait and see how it goes.
