We've got a Hermann's tortoise, who we let out from his enclosure to roam from time to time. We also have this palm tree as a houseplant. One of its branches reaches the floor, and we've caught our tortoise nibbling on it multiple times. We've tried to tie the branch up, but it won't hold. I've checked that the plant is non toxic, and tried to check tortoise table too, but they didn't have this plant there. I noticed that there are some threads about palm trees here, but I just wanted to make sure that this specific palm tree is okay. If its safe for the tortoise to eat, I won't bother with the tying up anymore, since I really don't care if he eats it if he's gonna be fine.

Can you post a picture of it?

You've probably already seen this on TTT but just in case

This website says it' s non toxic for cats and dogs

but If in doubt for torts I would remove the lower branches he can reach, or make some sort of barrier around it.
