Is there a way to tell if your tortoise has giardia?

Topic. Awhile back, my dog contracted giardia from God knows what. Possibly from my Sulcata tortoise? Just today my dog got ahold of fresh tortoise poop, he didn't eat it, he dropped it then I rinsed his mouth out with the hose, but I'm still worried he may contracted it again if my tortoise has it. I want to know if there's some kind of way I can tell if my tortoise is the source without having to get it tested. My Sulcata seems fine and happy. Eats a lot all the time, roams the yard all day if it's sunny, has a bowel movement every couple of days (that I notice), and his poop looks normal. Is there a way to tell?

Does your tortoise show signs of stomach pain, diarrhea, bloating, vomiting? Does he have to drink fouled water? no? Then he probably doesn't have it.

You could always take a fecal in.
