There is a milk thistle that has pink flowers but the leaf shapes on it are more like prickly thistle.

At any rate, it’s a thistle—the flower heads are and leaves are shaped exactly like those on a yellow sow thistle—and safe.

It’s not Bristly Ox Tongue—although it is a close relative—that plant has yellow flowers.

I’m not sure if there are any native sow-type thistles in Venezuela? Quite a few non native thistles have escaped out of Europe over the decades/centuries. That’s how North America got sow thistles, prickly lettuce and bristly ox tongue, at any rate. These are invasive weeds here, but so common I’m not sure most people realize they didn’t start here. :)

Milk thistle is the one we see the most..
