Is this normal?

I noticed that my tortoise blinks one eye at a time, instead of both. I'm assuming this is normal but just wanted to make sure.

*there is the sound of squeaking chairs being pushed back, feet stomping into the distance*, as everybody rushes out to check if their tortoises close only one eye, when blinking, at a time...
