There was 3 eggs but I had to leave town so I left her alone. I'll get the incubator out tomorrow night and pick up the eggs.

Looks like I'll be driving North in a couple of months. :D

Can I treat you and Yvonne to some lunch maybe?

Woohooo! A tortoise nerd lunch! Anyone else in the area interested in hanging out with some tortoise nerds?

My female is digging test holes. I only hope I can find the actual nest.

Tom if i can figure out this incubation thing! Last year it did't work for me. The change this year will be a bit cooler (2 degrees) and I'm putting the incubator in my linen closet. Its walk in size and is the most temp stable room in the house.

What temp did you use last year?

Hope you don't mind me starting a party on your thread. :D

I don't remember but I felt it was to hot. 87° is what I have now. Given I had one hatch in the yard with no help from me, and knowing the ground was not ever in the upper 80's is the reason I dropped the temp.

Tom, I did some reading on what I did last year and I set the temp at 89. Its at 84 now but I expect the temp in the house will bump that up in the next 2 months.

PS: picked up 2 more eggs tonight.
