Dear MenagerieGrl,And a very good morning to all . .
Friday night/Sat morning was a wet one for us here. Over night we got 26.1mm of rain, which is a very good start to our rainy season. I was able to rest easily as last May I had mt roof replaced and new gutters & downspouts installed at the same time. No potential leaky roof again.
Seymour, my Leopard Tort has been an eating fool Lately getting up @ 8pm ish, and roaming for food, I'll throw a head of red leave out for him, he'll eat for a bit then head back to his bed, that dear is 5 & 1/2 years old and growing.
Gigantor was a stray that I had acquired, so I have no idea how old he was, but try as I might, he was hard to feed, very picky, and nothing I tempted him with seemed to strike his appetite. So Seymour's great appetite is a relief to me.
PeeWee is about 9 years old and also growing with a very healthy appetite too. He's hard to keep up with, as he will devour a whole large cactus pad in no time.
It is 6am here and very chilly out so I have started the wood burner to get my family room warmed up, and it is supposed to be a sunny day, so I will try to get some yard work done (therapy).
Blessings to you all, my friends, hope you have a lovely day...

This post has made me laugh as looks like the are trying to eat you out of the house! I assume that Seymour and PeeWee have different compounds and neither of them will hibernate. I am guessing that it doesn't get very cold where you are but that the weather in Ohio where @CathieG lives is similar to ours.
It was a lovely autumn day here but it is set to turn colder.
Goodnight everyone
