Good morning everyone,
Yes it was very cold yesterday so Jacky was very sensible to hibernate. Fiona enjoyed her birthday lunch but we couldn't get into Wagamama's because there was a queue so tried the Ask Italian restaurant which was lovely. Tracy and I had Spaghetti Pomodoro which is vegetarian and Fiona had Lasagne. For desserts Tracy and Fiona had Biscoff Cheesecake and I had baked Gnocchi with Chocolate sauce. Tracy and Fiona were a little bit late because their buses were delayed by a demonstration by Southend United fans who are trying to get rid of their manager! Does anyone here follow football?
Just letting you know that even when I don't come on here I still say goodnight to you all and when I said good morning to Sleeping Beauty and Angel Daisy I said good morning to you all as well.

Dear Natrah- My mum and I sometimes watch football with my dad, and my favourite team is Chelsea, which is where my namesake, Gian Franco Zola used to play - he was a brilliant footballer, and also a really charming and happy person. I'm not sure what he is doing now. We used to watch him before he came to England, on Football Italia too,
I am sorry you missed out on Wagamama, but I'm glad you had a good time.

I think he's a manager somewhere now but I don't know where. Dad used to go to the Southend United matches bug otherwise he supported Arsenal. It's interesting that you were named after Gianfranco Zola but do your parents remember Zola Budd the South African athlete?

He wasn't really named after him - there is also the writer Emile Zola, Zola Budd, as you say, and in Swahili, Zola means quietness - when we got him, the pet shop chap had been calling him Bobby Vee,after a singer, because of the vee split in his shell - but when I looked at him, I felt he was telling me his name was Zola ( and, of course, if he had been a girl, the name would still have been ok ) It is impossible to imagine him having any other name, now, but Zola

The picture is a bad picture of Dilly yawning. I like seeing animals yawn. If I could catch Sapphire or Razberri yawning with a camera ready I'd have one for them too. I've seen them both yawn but as usual no camera. I wish my eyes were a camera.

It's interesting because birds yawn too. I googled yawning just to see and most critters yawn even snakes and what have you.

Daisy yawned at the vet's after having given him a shove! She was such a lovely girl. It's been a long day with one of the pupils having slipped off the Piano stool after my having constantly warned them about it!

Goodnight dear Natrah and all my friends - my mum is going to the dentist tomorrow to have a new crown sorted out - it is going to be a long and painful appointment, but I will be nearby, lurking with my dad, to make her feel better afterwards, on the drive home.

Thank you Natrah - the visit to the dentist wasn't too bad - she managed to deal with my tooth without it needing a crown, but had to give me a large injection in the roof of my mouth, and it seemed to affect my balance afterwards, so I have been really wobbly ever since - I hope it will wear off overnight ! I am rather unsteady at the best of times, but this is much worse than usual ! Zola let me give him a lovely stroke by the fire this evening, which was very soothing.
I hope all is well with you and the Sleeping Beauty - and wish you both and Angel Daisy goodnight - and all our other friends too.

Angie I hope you're feeling better today and that Zola and his dad are looking after you. I used to work in schools, Amanda, but now I teach in Allegro Music Shop and privately. Of course on Tuesday I had two pupils telling me that they aren't going into school tomorrow!!!!!!
How are you and Ernie and does anyone know where Leo is? How are CathieG and Sapphire?
