Dear Natrah - it won't be long until Easter, and Zola always has a special Easter photo - he emails it to his friends, and Richard and I also print some copies out, stuck on to cards, for some of our friends and relatives who would particularly appreciate it. I have several pictures from previous years, and I thought you might like to see them too, so I will send them in the next pre- Easter days - here is the first ....

Dear Angie,

That's a beautiful Easter photo with a daisy and eggs. I'm waiting for that special moment when Jacky comes out but she's done is turn herself towards the Pet Carrier door! I will try and send some photos of Jacky at Easter when the time's right. I had a very enthusiastic pupil today who was very pleased with his merit! Also the mother of one of the pupils sent a text. Unfortunately one of my friends from orchestra has Covid and she also suffers from asthma so I hope she's okay.

I hope you've all been okay.

Goodnight Angie, CathieG, Amanda and Sue

PS: Sue I hope you're okay clearing out your Father-in-law's house

It’s a long slow job. His sister & her husband are doing most of the sorting out & we try to find homes for things. There a few things that have come to us but we are already quite cluttered so can’t really have much more. It’s quite a difficult thing for Pete & his sister to do as it was the home they grew up in & lots of their childhood memories & toys etc are there.
Glad your pupils have been successful in their exams it’s also down to you as their teacher so well done.
Dickie is crafty! She knows what she wants to do. It still isnt that warm but she has eaten more cabbage today.

Zolasmum That is a beautiful picture of Zola & does make a lovely Easter card.

Goodnight all

Dear Natrah,
I was wondering if you could consider an adopted tortoise that gets along with Jacky. Since your family has always had two tortoises.
Just to carry on.

Dear Cathie,

Yes that could be possible but it might be better when I finally get to buy another flat. There is an exotic pet shop that should be able to help. The owner has Aldabra tortoises so I know where to go for advice. Of course I won't get an Aldabra tortoise but I have seen ones about the same size as Jacky.

Dear Natrah,
Also TFO is a good place to find a tortoise and you'll still have your exotic pet shop for supplies. Sometimes also a pet shop could have info on tortoises for adoption that could be tried out. This is just my thoughts. Since you can't and won't get over loosing Daisy ever. An adopted tortoise could help fill the spot in your heart that's empty with new memories and love if the tortoise can fit in. And of course there's the matter of space to keep them. I'm like that also with rabbits and they don't really live very long. I don't want to even know how it would feel loosing my tortoise. It's because they live so long and their antics,I think, that makes them such a part of us. They become a permanent part of who a person is and essential. I'm sorry if I'm sticking my nose in where it doesn't belong.🤗

Hello Natrah - I have had quite an exciting day today - the weather was ok, so we went to Barnstaple, and saw some distant lambs and close-up daffodils, primroses, celandines and hawthorn flowers on the way. My mum wanted to go to some clothes shops, as her undies are all wearing out - she hasn't been into a big shop for a couple of years, but she thought walking with 2 sticks would make it easier - and it did. My dad and I went into a lift and up an escalator with her - and we went into Marks and Spencer and Primark - there were lots of people around, and I met a few of them.
My mum was quite pleased that she managed fairly well, as she had been rather dreading going into big shops again, because she is still quite wobbly!
Love to you, Jacky, Angel Daisy and all my friends from Zola xxxxx

Dear Cathie,

I think you're being very supportive. I've rabbits and cats as well and they're all gorgeous. We had a rabbit called when I was a child and she used to greet us in the morning by going mad but she was caught by the neighbours dog and we were broken hearted. That was in Malaysia and Jacky and Daisy were with nana here in the UK and they saw us through everything. Jacky wants Sapphire and Dickie to know that she hasn't been out but she has been walking all round the Pet Carrier.

Zola what've you been doing today.

Goodnight everyone

Dear Zola,

Jacky and I are very pleased to hear that but what did those people say when they saw you in M & S. I remember the landlords faces when they saw Jacky in the estate agents when I was locked out.

Usually people respond with an amazed look, and either say "oh, a tortoise - I've always wanted a tortoise! "
or they say "is it real ?" Sometimes my dad will hold me up to his ear and say "it's a mobile phone !" But then I wave my arms about to prove I am real !

Dear Zola,

I have had people asking how my turtles are! Sometimes Jacky and Daisy have made people jump by peering out of their shells but no action coming from the Pet Carrier at the moment.

It was lovely to pick her up and cuddle her when I came back from rehearsal and put her to bed properly.

jacky I hope you enjoyed your little venture outside. It’s sunshine & showers here too but I think the rain is getting more frequent so I’ve stayed in my house. Think I’ll do some housework today instead!

Hello Natrah - I am pleased to know that Jacky is bravely venturing outside - it hasn't been very sunny today, but lots of flowers are appearing by the roads - we saw some periwinkle today. They are a very pretty colour - my favourite colour is red, though. What is Jacky's favourite colour ?
My mum sends her love to you, Jacky, Angel Daisy, and everyone else - I hope you have a good night

Dear Zola and Dickie,

This is today's picture after I got back from teaching. I'm afraid the BBC were right because it was raining in the afternoon. Jacky and Daisy loved yellow and red in particular because they represent dandelions and strawberries. I remember trying to steal Jacky's dandelions and strawberries.

Goodnight everyone and I hope Angie and Sue are okay.
