Dear Natrah - It has been a bit warmer today, but still not really nice enough to go for a long walk with my dad. However, I did have a look at the sea frothing round the rocks, which I like. I have promised my mum I will help her with my Easter photo, but have a couple more old ones too Here's one .....
Love from Zola to all xxxxx

Dear Cathie,

Whose Joe? There are quite a few Blue **** here and Magpies. We're still hearing about the tornado in Mississippi.

Natrah
Dear Natrah,
Joe is my developmentally disabled brother that's also profoundly deaf. We play charades a lot to understand each other. They say a picture says a thousand words though and it sure did. We have a picture window that I watch the birds from. I should have got a picture of the havac the wind was causing. I didn't have time for all that. I'm North of them and probably getting the very outer bands and the winds it fed. All I had to do was show him the window and ask him to hold on to me 🤣 so I wouldn't fly away. I hate to imagine what the those poor people went through in Mississippi. I don't think we have those type of Blue 🐦🐦🐦🐦 here in the US 🤣. We do have Blue birds though ☺️

US 🤣. We do have Blue birds though
We used to have Blue birds here too, immortalised in the song by Vera Lynn “there‘ll be blue birds over the white cliffs of Dover”
Natrah, Thankyou for the suggestion of germoline. I haven’t got any but I could get some tomorrow. We are lucky in our village that we have a chemist & GP surgery.
The house is slowly being emptied. The beds are due to go next. They will be collected by the council as they cannot go to a charity, they are too old.
Pete has restored his grandmothers little chair. It is in the bedroom here at the moment. Any suggestions on what to do with this dolls furniture his dad made for Petes sister? It is old looking but I didn’t want it to go to the tip 😟

Dear MoggyMad,
You have to save those darling pieces of handmade doll furniture for a child. Just pass them along. Maybe a girl or boy in your family or a child that you want to have them. They are an heirloom. They are just too precious to turn into junk kindling.

Dear Cathie,

I agree because I had mum's dolls furniture house which may have been passed down from my great grandmother. In Malaysia we had Fairy Bluebirds.

That furniture is lovely, and I think in a way it wouldd be a shame to give it to someone who might play with it for a while and then lose interest - if you know someone who would treasure it as it deserves, give it to them - otherwise wait until you do find someone. Or a library or children's museum.

Thankyou for your suggestions everyone ❤️
Like you all I feel they should be preserved. The suggestion of a children’s museum is a good idea. I will do some research.
The little girls in the family don’t play with little dolls they have big dolls & I think the furniture would be too delicate for them. It’s more for the Cindy type of doll…showing my age here! Anyway they are here so won’t be destroyed. At this rate we‘ll need a bigger house to store everything we dont want to dispose of. Brother in law just wants to dump everything which is annoying Pete & me 😡

p.s maybe I can get Dickie to try out the little bed 😂

Dear Natrah -Cathie failed to mention that her brother Joe is also a very talented and imaginative artist/cartoonist.
If you look through the Cold Dark Room thread, you will come across several examples of his work - you will be amazed, as I was. !!

Dear Angie,
I wish Joe could understand that. Even though he is that truely good he won't let anyone help him establish a business. He feels like he's not accomplishing anything if he's not getting a paycheck from a job. Not because he doesn't like to sell his art. And he does sell it. He just doesn't understand what we are trying to do for him. So for his happiness we let him just be "The World's Greatest Artist". Just ask him 😉😁

Hello Natrah - I hope you have been having a good day. It has been quite sunny most of the day, but still cold. When we went to look at the sea, it was very sparkly, and there was a skylark singing above us - lovely ! Also, my mum and I heard a thrush in the garden, when she was sitting in my conservatory with me. My dad went for a walk in the afternoon, but he said it was too cold for me.

Here is another Easter picture from a few years ago - my mum especially likes this one .

Dear Zola,

I think it's beautiful. We don't get that many thrushes round here anymore but I did hear a Great Tit earlier. Jacky stirred but didn't come out.

Dear Dickie, Sherman, Albertina, Zola, Sapphire, Ernie and Leo,

Dickie I hear that you are going to live Sue and Pete so I want tell you this. Before Natrah moved into her old flat Daisy and I went to stay with a couple of Natrah's friends. They had a lovely garden and we took to it straight away. Our favourite spot in their garden was the vegetable patch where we would have a feast and for some reason we are able to keep getting attention because Natrah's friends would keep coming out to remove us🤣! However we were persistent and kept going back because all our favourites were there🤣!

Goodnight everyone

Jacky, Angel Daisy and Natrah

Yes I’m sure I would like the vegetable patch too but I can’t get to it here. I haven’t visited my next future home yet but I think they will take me for a visit when the weather is warmer. I know they will watch me like a hawk as Ive heard I could get under the fence into the neighbours garden. I’ll check it out when I’m there. I’m pretty sure it wont be accessible for long!

Goodnight from Dickie

Thanks Natrah, he just doesn’t have the emotional ties but I wish he had a bit more empathy.
