Just picked up this little girl yesterday

Just picked up this little girl yesterday she does have some pyramiding.

Do you put vita-shell on all your tortoises (assuming you have others)? How is that working out for you?

I did that on some of mine until last summer when they went outdoors full time. The ants really like that stuff so it made me a little nervous.

Yes I put vita-shell on all my tortoises. I dont really know if its doing anything at all.

Thank you I did a trade off with a snake for the tortoise I am more into tortoises since I was a kid.

thats A LOT of vita shell... i think Id do a little less and just put it on the area between the scutes.. the growth lines..
how do you know if this is a female?

I put a lot because I just got her in. I was told by the guy I picked her up from that she is a female.

She is a little young to tell 100% what the sex is, even if she was "incubated" for female there is still margin for error.

She definitely isn't albino - she has black eyes. She is very light colored, very pretty, but not quite a true "ivory" either.

Nice little tortoise though ;)

Yea I thought she was a little too young to tell. I just went along with it for now.
