Hest the name turtle.. i thought most turtles live in water... so how come his box turtle isnt in water?

Not having a dig or anything im just cusrious as I dont know much about turtles

In America Tortoises are defined by their family Testudinidae. All others are called turtles, with exceptions for Terrapins which live in brackish water.
