Hi all,

My apologies if I'm in the wrong forum...

I've just discovered an infestation of cutworms in the grass where our CDT grazes and gets shade. It is my understanding that insecticide would work best at eradicating them. Or, saturating the grass and plucking them out as they come up for air. **Sigh** Neither sounds like a great option, considering.

Any insight as to what would be the best treatment while doing no harm to our tort? I'm prepared to use diatomaceous earth, fertilizer, etc. and roping the area off for the time being. Just so perplexed because I want to give her the best environment. FYI, aside from the grazing, she does get a healthy diet of greens and occasional fruit and does have other shady spots in the yard, just not as nice as the grass.

Anyone out there ever use BTK to help the problem?

Thanks so much!
