I recently found myself with a few baby Sulcatas. I'm setting my table up for them until they're big enough to be safe outside. The problem I'm running into is getting the right heat lamp for them. I know optimal temp is about 100 degrees in their basking spot. ...But what wattage lamp do I need? I'm seeing everything from 25 watts to 250. I can raise or lower the lamp quite a bit to zero in on the temp, but I don't want to start off with something too weak OR too strong.

Thanks for the help guys!

most of the members use the Zoomed Powersun UV/basking bulb. it comes in 100/160watts. make sure you are using porcelain sockets on your lamp fixtures, these get really hot.

Powersun 100 or or 160 depending on the size of your enclosure.
