I have an 11 week old Leo and I hand feed him from time to time which he is very responsive to. Sometimes he likes to nip my fingers...and not accidentally when grabbing food. He will eat what I'm offering but then he will sniff my fingers and bite. It doesnt hurt because he is so tiny, but this would not be pleasant when he gets bigger. Is this common? He is still so small but I feel confident he is a male with his tail size, tucking to the side, a slight concave on his plastron and he is a salty little thing.

Way to young to know the sex yet. The nipping is probably just trying to get some more food. The good thing is that hes not a big fast athletic monitor lizard.. so getting ur fingers out of the way should not be to difficult lol
