Little Nala has died

I'm sad to report that little Nala (left in the picture below) has died. She's been lethargic the past two weeks and I've been watching and nursing her carefully, but I came home and found her dead this afternoon. Simba (right) appears fine, but they liked to snuggle going to sleep so he's going to really miss her.

No, beyond being lethargic and light eating there were no other obvious signs. I was a little worried and made sure we feed the things she's liked the most (cactus, hibiscus, sedum, etc.), but was hoping in the back of my mind maybe she was just getting less active as the season changed. I know Leopards don't hibernate and it was probably wishful thinking, but that's what I was hoping.

I'm sorry to hear about Nala. Sometimes things are just beyond our control and even though we do our best, it doesn't work out.
