This probably is impossible based on the fact that some captive breeders don't care about the origin or even know what the collection location of their breeders was . . . But is there any clues to the origin of a cbb testudo ibera?

I mean do certain colors indicate where they're from?

No, rather don't, amongst the typical Ibera in the hobby- usually the Balkan and w-Turkey ssp., racovitzai. These are also the hardiest.
But it could be, when talking some se-Turkey and Middle East relatives.

Colors are not reliable indicators of wild origin. But mature adult size, shape, scute arrangement and other indicators can sometimes be used. Wild population origin is not accurate when using baby and very young tortoises for identification purposes. Their colors, patterns and overall appearance change as they mature. Adults, preferrably first generation wild caught adults, are more accurate.
