Hi Ladylee:

Welcome to the Forum!

If you're looking for members who keep Sulcata tortoises, you've come to the right place. Many of our members have Sulcatas. What kind of help do you require?

Incidentally, the term "spur thigh" is generally given to the Greek species of tortoises. Your sulcata would be called an African spurred tortoise.

Hi Ladylee. Many African Spurred tortoise keepers here. We usually call them sulcatas after their scientific name.

What can we help with?

I cannot see the pic, it's just a link, and it leads to a page I'm not allowed to view :)
Here's the caresheet-http://www.tortoiseforum.org/threads/how-to-raise-a-healthy-sulcata-or-leopard-version-2-0.79895/
How old is she? From your quote, her diet is not good. STOP giving the kibble, that's an old myth, sulcata's do NOT need protein! They need a high fiber, fibrous diet.

And some other stuff :D

How's the setup? Lights... humidity? The reason why she's 'bumpy' is because she's too dry, was started out too dry... etc!
Please read those links :)

Hi Ladylee:

It looks like Joy might have a bit of a beak problem. Doesn't look like she has a 'biting edge' on the lower jaw. Do you supplement calcium? Does Joy have a UVB light, or ever get to see real sunshine?

Yes, she has a cuttle bone and calcium powder added to her food. She gets sunshine when it is shining and has a uv light. What could cause this thatvyour talking about?
