Hi, I'm Bonnie Keller, and I operate VA Reptile Rescue, Inc. in northern VA, near DC.
I have a hingeback coming in later this week, after much negotiation with the owner. It has been in captivity about 20 years, according to the owner. Owner also believes it is male.
I don't know what type of hingeback it is yet, as the pics I've gotten aren't very helpful.
I will be looking to place this tortoise with someone who is breeding them. My preference would be a tortoise reserve, zoo, or private individual that is breeding with an established record of producing healthy hatchlings.
